You can have Hope through Jesus!
Even if the answers to your questions of Why aren’t clear, you can have hope and peace through Jesus Christ!
“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4
If you feel hopeless, discouraged and empty…
If you carry an ache and hurt that you can’t explain…
If it seems like this world is not enough….
That’s because it isn’t.
You were created for a person and a place.
That person is Jesus.
That place is heaven.
Until you have a relationship with Jesus and are headed toward your true home, nothing in the world can fully satisfy you. There will always be a sense that something is missing.
As you come to know God through His Son, Jesus Christ, you will be made new. Jesus will reorient your life toward heaven – your true home - and give you purpose here on earth as you walk with Him.
None of us are good enough.
There is a standard of righteousness we were created to live by – and none of us meet it. Even if we attend church, do good things, or read the Bible, none of these can bring us closer to God’s perfect standard on their own.
Without Jesus, we are stranded in our sin.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
As long as we fall short, we face the reality that “that wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).
Why Jesus Came?
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
Jesus came to overcome the sin that separates us from God.
At a place called Skull Hill, Jesus died on a cross. While He hung there, God placed every sin you have ever committed onto Jesus. He became your substitute – dying in your place.
But Jesus did not stay dead. On the third day, He rose from the grave, offering life, forgiveness and salvation to everyone who believes in Him.
Jesus didn’t come to make bad people good. He came to make dead people alive – so that you, once separated from God by sin, could be forgiven and restored.
How to Put Your Faith in Jesus
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
When you’re ready to trust Jesus and receive His forgiveness, the next step is simply to tell Him:
You can express your faith by praying something like this:
“God, I know that I am far from You. I know that I am a sinner”
“I believe in Jesus Christ – that He died on the cross, rose from the dead, and brings me near to You God.”
What you are committing to:
“I choose to follow You, God.”
“I give You my life from this day forward.”
“Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit and give me the power, grace and strength to live the life I was created to live:
What Happens Next?
When you tell God that you have put your faith in Jesus – and you mean it – you are forgiven and adopted into His family!
You may not feel different right away. But the gospel of Jesus is about truth, not feelings. If you believe in Christ, you have been forgiven, and He has come into your life.
We are so excited that you have chosen to follow Jesus! Now more than ever, it’s important to surround yourself with other committed believers of Jesus.
